David’s started his illustrious career in the architectural and engineering firms in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. After gaining valuable experience, he returned to his roots in New Glasgow in the early 80s, founding Custom Designing to bring his wealth of expertise to the local community. Over the past 40 years, Dave has emerged as an invaluable asset in the design of the built environment, showcasing a deep understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, and industry trends. His unwavering commitment to excellence positions him as a reliable and seasoned professional, making him an indispensable resource for any building design project. David has been a certified member of the Nova Scotia Home Designers Association (NSHDA) since 1996. David served as the past president of the Nova Scotia Home Designers Association.

Mac Farrell's professional journey has been shaped by his apprenticeship under the guidance of Dave Bateman at Custom Designing. Drawing from this rich experience, Mac has acquired invaluable insight into building design, cultivating a deep understanding of the intricacies involved. His several years of hands-on experience, coupled with a keen eye for detail and design, position him as a valuable contributor to the built environment. As part of Custom Designing, Mac plays a crucial role in furthering the firm's commitment to delivering high-quality and innovative designs to its clients and communities. His hobbies include music, science and new technologies. He is a graduate of the Architectural Drafting program at the Nova Scotia Community College in Halifax. Mac Farrell is a certified member of the Nova Scotia Home Designers Association (NSHDA) and the Society of Certified Engineering Technologist of Nova Scotia (CTECH).

Michael Rego

Michael is a passionate about aesthetic design, with a specific focus on residential design and sustainability. He finds joy in incorporating design principles into the contextual aspects of his work. Leveraging his technical and artistic background, Michael is adept at providing practical and innovative solutions that enhance both form and function in his projects. His hobbies include outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking while spending time with his family. Michael is a student member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and is actively engaged in the syllabus program. This involvement reflects his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He is a graduate of the Architectural Technology program with Humber College in Toronto, Ontario. Michael is a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with the Society of Engineering Technologist of Nova Scotia.
